"Periphery Series"
This circular artwork is built through a reverse layering process, where each vibrant stratum interacts to create a dynamic dialogue between memory, material, and sensation. Its rich, multicolored palette reflects Jackson’s lived experience, shaped by dividing her time between three states, where color, light, and place converge to inform perception and emotional resonance.
The piece is designed to hang flush against the wall using a French cleat system. Jackson’s practice explores how environments shape and mirror inner experience. She constructs immersive, layered multimedia works in which imagery, text, and texture intersect, forming intricate psychological and spatial narratives that invite viewers to linger, explore, and discover nuanced connections across each vibrant layer.
